Special Achievements
- Handling capsize vessels of LOA 290 mtrs. with a draft of 14.5 mtrs. at Tuna Tekra (AKBPTL Terminal).
- Development of oil jetty to handle liquid cargo & ship bunkering terminal at old Kandla of PPP mode-concession agreement signed.
- Construction of Viewers’ Gallery.
- Up-gradation of Barge Handling facilities at Bunder Basin – 75 m length of berth has been completed & commercial operations started.
- Construction of Port Craft Jetty & Shifting of SNA section – work is in progress.
- Railway connectivity from L.C. 236 Kutch salt to cargo berth no. 13th to 16th – work is in progress.
- Strengthening of Oil Jetty No. 1 & 2 to handle 13/14 mtrs. draft vessels – commercial operations started at Oil Jetty No. 1.
- Development of Marine Liquid Terminal facilities consisting of two berths of 300 m each on north side of existing jetty and SPM in DPT waters at 00T, Vadinar for handling Crude and Petroleum products by M/s. Vadinar Liquid Terminal Ltd. -Concession Agreement signed.
- Access Control Systems fully functional at Deendayal Port Trust.
- Development of land in the rear side of berth No. 11 & 12 outside West Gate No. 2.
- Construction of Storage Shed inside Cargo Jetty area.
- Successfully handled Ro – Ro (Car carrier) vessel at Kandla.
- Successfully handling Minicape vessels of LOA 255 meters at a draft of 12 meters at Kandla.
- Satellite port at Vadinar handled record 53 MT of Liquid cargos during the Financial Year 2015-16.
