NTPC’s Green Hydrogen Mobility

DPA to become the pioneer of this initiative.

Technical Specifications:

  • Fuel Type : Green Hydrogen Produced via electrolysis using renewable energy
  • Storage : High pressure H2 tanks (eg:50kg at 350 bar)
  • Range : Over 600 km on a single refill
  • Emissions: Zero Tailpipe emissions(only water vapour)
  • Technology: Converting hydrogen into electricity to power the motor.
  • Approx Cost of each bus: Rs 2.5 Cr.
  • CO2 reduction =70 tons /bus/annum
  • Total 11 buses are planned to deploy by DPA.
  • Cost allotted: Rs. 60/- per passenger km travel
  • Timeline: September 2025
