In the current scenario of emerging economy, competition is one of the challenges for the organisations to sustain the growth and also remain at top at the same time.\u00a0 Deendayal Port being a government run port, there is a greater responsibility rests on its shoulder of ensuring accountability, fairness and transparency in all its operations.\u00a0 The standards and norms set by the Government of India and various watchdog agencies like Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and so on are precisely meant to achieve this objective of good governance through transparency and public accountability.\u00a0 Nevertheless, these norms should not be viewed as the stumbling blocks in the race of competition.\u00a0 It is in this context, in order to overcome such situations, the Central Vigilance Commission has been guiding organisations from time to time and emphasizing\u00a0the need for sensitization of Stakeholders including the officials.\u00a0 The Vigilance Awareness Week being observed at the behest of the CVC every year has made a tremendous impact in this direction, particularly with the Commission focusing on different themes every year, the recent ones being \u2018Public Procurement\u2019 and \u2018Participative Vigilance\u2019, Public Procurement & Promoting good Governance – positive Contribution of Vigilance. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Recognizing\u00a0\u00a0this , the Vigilance Department of Deendayal Port has started in house\u00a0sensitization\u00a0programs.\u00a0 To further the impact of such programs, a series of lectures by inviting eminent personalities to create awareness and empower the official has also been started by this Department.<\/p>\n
After all ” A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step….” and thus Vigilance Department, DPA is determined to make positive contribution to the organization in all possible ways.<\/p>\n
